About Peaceful Peaks' Hosts
 
 
        Gary and Lorraine Gowing are North Country natives who enjoy sharing their home with others.  They enjoy meeting people and making their guests feel that they have found a home away from home.
 
        As much as they enjoy being B&B owners, they do have "day" jobs.  Gary is a carpenter and cabinetmaker.  He worked with the contractor in building their home in 1998.   Lorraine is a kindergarten teacher at the local school. 
 
        After almost five years of "empty nest syndrome,"  Gary and Lorraine decided to convert their home into a bed and breakfast.  With their children's long distance support, they completed the conversion and welcomed their first guests in May of 2006.
 
        Gary and Lorraine Gowing hope you will consider staying at Peaceful Peaks while visiting the North Country.  They look forward to having you come into their home as strangers and leaving as friends!
